KALIBO, Aklan – A man was arrested for violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, in Barangay Caano, a police report showed.
The 56-year-old Juan Adante Jr. was caught after police officer found inside his house 50 cartridges of a .22-caliber firearm, the report added.
Officers from the Kalibo municipal police station were armed with a search warrant when they went to Adante’s house around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Adante was detained at the police station’s lockup facility./PN
