Generika-Ayala vs CPU on Sept. 7 Iloilo exhibition

MANILA – Philippine Superliga’s Generika-Ayala Lifesavers will test the mettle of Central Philippine University Golden Lions in an exhibition match on Sept. 7 at the CPU Gym in Iloilo City.

Leading the way for the Lifesavers are Bacolodnon Patty Jane Orendain and Ilonggas April Ross Hingpit and Fiola Mae Ceballos, who is a former standout of the Golden Lions.

Completing the Lifesavers roster of head coach Sherwin Meneses are veterans Carol Ann Cerveza, Shiela Marie Pineda, Angeli Pauline Araneta, Mikaela Lopez, and Marivic Velaine Meneses.

Set to play for the Golden Lions, the 2018 National Prisaa Champion, are Glaudine Troncoso, Sharice Ann Coscolluella, Addrianne “Yen yen” Celiz, Euna Gene Piosca,  Dessa Mae Puyo, and Pearl An Denura.

Also in CPU’s roster are Shyrel Ambrocio, Ritchelle Amuan, Beatrice Arabia, Daniela Eguico, Danika Galila, Glezel Anne Ledesma, Je-Ann Magnetico, Riza mae Serrano, Jolina Torres, and Eunice Guevarra.

According to CPU sports director Edwin Caro Laru-an, the Lifesavers-Golden Lions friendly match will be free to the public and also part of two squads preparation for their future tournaments.

It will be the second time that the Lifesavers and Golden Lions have played in an exhibition game this year after both teams squared off last January in Bingawan won by Generika, 26-28, 25-22, 25-11, 25-16./PN
