BACOLOD City – Nine sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P10,000 were recovered from a man in a drug buy-bust operation in Sitio Tayabas, Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The man was identified in a police report as the 42-year-old resident Leobert Alfonga.
Alfonga was arrested around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P500.
Aside from the suspected drugs, cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions was recovered from Alfonga, police said.
Alfonga was detained at the Talisay City police station lockup facility.
He was facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
