Led by team captain Krystl Lou Capilastique, Jeah Pascua, Angeline Cabalo, and Kyla Cabunoc, SCPS bested all of its opponents to achieve its sixth straight championship on Saturday.
Also part of the SCPS were Marianne Grace Calapaan, Frianna Villaret, Johanna Canata, Dea Jane Canaya, Chazzie Aizhen Roxas, Michaela Cabalfin, Nicole Angela Calanda, Maria Jasmine Gaboc, and Frenshwa Altura.
Leon National High School, meanwhile, leaned on the exploits of team captain Ryan Mosquera, Peter and John Paul Sumayo to perfect the secondary boys volleyball.
Teams from District of Leon 1, on the other hand, took home the championships in the elementary boys and girls categories.
Alma Cagalitan Capilastique of the Leon Volleyball Association said the champion teams are now qualified for the 2nd Congressional District Athletic Meet in October in Pavia town.
“This is just the first step for these volleyball teams as we aim to play in the 2018 Iloilo Schools Sports Council Meet in November in Janiuay,” Capilastique said./PN
