ILOILO City – Police raided a house in Barangay Pabriaga, Sara, Iloilo on the suspicion that its owner was keeping a homemade firearm.
But the search at 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday yielded no gun, a police report showed.
Police identified the house owner as Nelson Baconawa.
His neighbors complained that the 54-year-old Baconawa would indiscriminately discharge his firearm, scaring them, police said.
Officers failed to find any firearm after the search conducted on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Rogelio Amador of the Regional Trial Court Branch 66, the police report stated.
Iloilo Police Provincial Office personnel led by Chief Inspector Jonathan Pinuela conducted the operation./PN
