ILOILO City – A charge for illegal possession of a firearm may be slapped against a resident of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
Police caught Demetrio Carogada of Barangay Vista Alegre, Barotac Viejo carrying a 12-gauget shotgun on Sunday.
The weapon was homemade, said the police.
Officers arrested Carogada at 10:20 p.m. and hauled him to the detention facility of the Barotac Viejo police station.
Carogada faces a charge for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
