NEARLY four months into the run of “Araw Gabi,” Barbie Imperial has managed to become more comfortable with her leading man JM de Guzman, with whom she shares several intimate scenes.
This was true of the talked-about bathtub bonding of their characters Mich and Adrian, shown in the Sept. 18 episode of the Kapamilya Gold series.
In the scene, Adrian surprised Mich with a romantic bath, to help them both temporarily escape from the trying events they’ve had to grapple with recently.
The two shared a kiss, with de Guzman shirtless, and Imperial only wearing a bikini.
In a series peppered with intimate and provocative moments, the bathtub scene stood as a treat to viewers of the top-rating series.
Imperial, 20, said she was “prepared” for the skin-baring scene, “pero andun pa ‘rin ‘yung kaba every time.”
“But okay naman, kumportable naman po kasi every time may mga scenes na ganun, limited lang po talaga ‘yung mga tao na nasa set and si JM naman, sobrang comfortable siya ka-eksena,” Imperial was quoted as saying by PEP.ph.
“Araw Gabi” is Imperial’s first lead role on television, following her stint as a “Pinoy Big Brother” in 2015. It is also de Guzman’s comeback series after finishing his time in rehab to recover from drug abuse.
Recalling their first intimate scene together, Imperial said, “He told me po na kapag ‘di ako comfortable, sabihin ko sa kanya.”
“But ngayon, sobrang komportable na kami sa isa’t isa and alam namin na may respect kami sa isa’t isa,” she added.
Now dubbed “JuanBie” by fans of their onscreen tandem, Imperial and de Guzman are also being romantically linked in real life, although neither of them has confirmed being together. (ABS-CBN News)
