ILONGGO RIDERS have a new reason to get revved and excited as Yamaha Motors Philippines and DES Strong Motors, Inc. officially opened Yamaha RevZone Iloilo on Sept. 18, graced by celebrity endorser and self-confessed speed junkie Matteo Guidicelli.
Located along Diversion Road, Zone 8, Dungon B. Jaro, Iloilo City and designed after Yamaha’s own flagship store – the Yzone – Yamaha RevZone Iloilo offers a bigger and wider selection of the brand’s world-class motorcycles right here in Iloilo for local bikers and riders to peruse and enjoy.
The spacious facility houses Yamaha’s best products, motorcycles that apply to every lifestyle – coupled with service that is at par with global standards as RevZone staff is ready to take you on a journey of Yamaha’s greatest creations, all the while being equipped to help you with maintenance, service and repairs.
Festivities kicked off in the morning with a motorcade joined by local motorcycle groups, with Yamaha’s lovable and bouncy mascot Revvybear accompanying reigning Miss Teen Iloilo Patricia Beerda for the parade.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony led by Yamaha Motors Philippines president Mr. Toru Osugi, DES Strong Motors, Inc. CEO Dr. Silvestre Lumapas, Jr. and Matteo Guidicelli – and the ceremonial turnover of pin badge and commemorative poster – attendees were treated to a floorshow of the leading motor company’s latest and most innovative offerings before taking a tour of the new showroom.
Miollenial Ambassador for MIO AEROX Matteo Guidicelli himself took one of RevZone Iloilo’s brand-new featured rides for a spin: the sleek Yamaha YZF-R1 Big Bike.
YZF-R1 Big Bike is Yamaha’s pride for its renowned reputation in the racing world. This machine boasts features that are the most Moto GP inspired electronics package offered on a super sport machine. It is complete with a full suite of interrelated technologies that enables riders to enjoy the fullest range of performance.
Yamaha RevZone Iloilo also offers a dedicated service area aside from its showroom. Ensuring the comfort of their riders, the store has a lounge area by the service bay viewing window where customers can relax and enjoy complimentary coffee while they wait for their vehicle to be spiffed up.
Other featured vehicles at the Yamaha RevZone Iloilo include the all-new Mio Sporty, outfitted with a novel refreshing design and revitalized efficiency. The all-new Mio Sporty boasts an advance Euro 3 engine that is safer for the environment, a thermal-welded double seat, a more efficient disk brake, along with a slate of other upgrades.
On the evening of Sept. 18, Matteo Guidicelli also treated his Ilonggo fans to a free concert at Yamaha RevZone Iloilo, while a Bike Night was held on Sept. 19 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
