THE “ber” months may have just started, but Matteo Guidicelli is already getting into the spirit of Christmas.
The actor helped spread some joy this week, as he made a visually impaired fan’s wish to speak with pop star Sarah Geronimo come true.
He first met the fan, a 15-year-old named Zaika, at a meet-and-greet event, he told Pep. After learning that she was a fan of his girlfriend, he quickly arranged a little surprise for her.
He invited the teen to perform for the opening of his jeans brand’s pop-up store in a mall in Taguig. What he didn’t tell her was that he also had Geronimo ready to speak to her on the phone.
A video of Zaika talking with Geronimo, who is currently in Dubai for a concert, was uploaded by fans on Twitter.
Guidicelli shared that Zaika was overjoyed to have shared a chat with her idol. He was also full of praise for Zaika, whom he said brought a number of people to tears with her performance.
Zaika is a student of the Northern Luzon Association for The Blind Inc. – Guidicelli’s chosen beneficiary for his jeans line.
A part of the proceeds from his collaboration with designer Avel Bacudio will go to the school.
The AvelxMatteo pop-up store can be found inside the Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. (ABS-CBN News)
