ROXAS City – A man accused of using bounced checks was arrested at his residence in Barangay Lawaan, a police report showed.
The 40-year-old Arthur Alcorano was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant the court issued in relation to criminal cases C-10-16383-07, C-10-16316-01 and C-10-16382-07 he faces.
Alcorano is facing these cases for violating Batas Pambansa Blg. 22, which penalizes “the making or drawing and issuance of a check without sufficient funds or credit.”
Officers from the Roxas City police station caught Alcorano around 11:15 a.m. on Monday.
He was detained in the lockup facility of the police station.
The court did not recommend a bail bond for Alcorano’s temporary liberty under two of his cases but under one case, a P2,000 bail bond was recommended./PN
