ROXAS City – A newly identified drug suspect was arrested in a police entrapment operation in Barangay Tico, Panay, Capiz.
The 32-year-old Mike Balasa of Barangay Malic, Pontevedra, Capiz was a “street-level” drug target, according to the Panay municipal police.
Balasa was caught around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P500.
Recovered from Balasa’s possession were four sachets of suspected shabu, a cellphone and P400 cash.
Balasa was detained in the lockup cell of the Panay municipal police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against Balasa./PN
