ILOILO City – Josicar Jamili faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Officers seized from him a homemade 12-gauge shotgun, a police report showed.
Driving a motorcycle, Jamili turned away from a police checkpoint on Crispin Zalazar Street in Janiuay, Iloilo at around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officers manning the checkpoint chased him. They cornered him in Barangay Jibolo and found him in possession of the gun.
Jamili, a 35-year-old resident of Barangay Bacan, Cabatuan town, was arrested and taken to the Janiuay police station./PN
