Flight CY831 Now Boarding!

Explorers, holidaymakers and business travelers definitely made it before the last call for flight CY831 to join the official launch of the Club Marriott membership program.

Wearing their most fashionable travel gear complete with their bedazzled carry-ons, all guests were escorted by flight attendants from the lobby to their next “gate.” There, each guest was issued his very own boarding pass that served as his guide to all stopovers during this pre-departure flight experience.

In the first stopover, Club Marriott agents received guests to talk about how exactly they can get MORE out of Marriott International’s exclusive lifestyle card. The next stop was the enrollment counter where they had their photos taken at the event’s official photo wall. They then dropped their raffle stubs at the gift shop for a fair chance to win prizes later in the night. Guests also had a blast decorating their own mini travel pouch, putting in a lot of effort and creativity to win a dinner buffet for two at the Runway Kitchen of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo.

In between stops, passengers took time to fuel themselves with business class cocktail creations. Some of the favorites were roast beef and vegetable torpedo sandwiches, vegetarian tomato mozzarella salad, black bun burgers and sliders, assorted pizza bites, four-flavor chicken wings station featuring the classic original recipe, hot and spicy, flava crava and barbecue dips. For a sweet ride, the pastry chef went all out with peanut butter brownies, apple pie tarts, fruits in a jar and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo’s signature Guimaras mango cheesecake.

For some in-flight entertainment, Iloilo’s very own Eman Abatayo, serenaded guests with his trusty guitar before the hotel’s gorgeous flight attendants commanded everyone’s attention for the in-flight instruction. To formally welcome all guests to the event, Joan Paulette Libo-on, the night’s head purser, calls the flight’s main captain, General Manager Cleofe Albiso to give a few words before flying everyone to the main highlight of the night. After a thrilling wait, GM Cleofe finally revealed Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo’s official Club Marriott video featuring the lifestyle card’s ambassadors mainly, Ms. Rhea Inocencio-Peñaflorida, Mr. Joaquin “Jake” Cocjin and Ms. Sheilla Tiongco. Without a second to waste, Libo-on, invites the three socialites to talk about how Club Marriott allows them to enjoy MORE in life. To raise the night’s excitement, a raffle draw winner was chosen to “come home” as a Club Marriott member for a year. A toast then was shared to cap the photo perfect moment.
