RUNNERS who wish to participate in the Iloilo leg of the 42nd Milo Marathon on Sunday at the Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao, Iloilo City have until Friday to register.
Registration for the 3k, 5k, 10k, and 21k categories is ongoing at the Sports Development Office on the fifth floor of the Iloilo City Hall, said the office’s Moises Salomon Jr.
“The registration … will close this Friday, so to our Ilonggos who wish to participate on Sunday, we advise them to register now,” Salomon said.
Registration fees for the 3k and 5k categories are P160 for adult and P110 for student; for the 10k, P850, and for the 21k, P950. Registrants will get a values-inspired singlet, a race bib, a sachet of Milo drink, and a drawstring bag.
Finishers will get a medal along with a hoodie and a certificate.
Top finishers in 21k will qualify to the National Finals.
For its 42nd season the Milo Marathon National Finals will be held on Dec. 9 in Laoag City. In the last two years the Finals was held in Visayas – Iloilo City in 2016 and Cebu City in 2017.
Aside from the marathon, a three-division cheerdance competition – elementary, secondary and college – will also be held as part of the Iloilo leg./PN
