BACOLOD City – An 18-year-old student was caught after police recovered from him a pen gun in Barangay Alicante, E.B., Magalona, Negros Occidental.
John Lloyd Barnuevo of Alicante was arrested around 1:55 a.m. on Friday, a police report showed.
Officers from the municipal police station were patrolling the barangay which was celebrating its annual fiesta when they seized the weapon from Barnuevo – a pen gun locally known as sulpak.
Barnuevo was detained in the E.B. Magalona police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, were filed against him./PN
