MassKara costume designer yields ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Four sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from a man in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, a police report showed.

The suspected illegal drugs were confiscated from the 33-year-old MassKara Festival costume designer Michael Tabara.

Tabara – a resident of Purok Paghidaet in Barangay 39 – was caught around 3:30 a.m. on Friday after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer.

Tabara is listed as a newly identified drug personality at Police Station 2 but is listed as a “street-level” drug suspect at Police Station 1.

Police Station 2 commander Senior Inspector Leo Gestopa said Tabara was in his rented house in Purok Sigay when antidrug forces caught him.

The suspected drugs seized from Tabara were valued at around P3,000.

Tabara was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
