ROXAS City – She was not as lucky as her back rider.
The 20-year-old Lovely Berlandino died in a motorcycle crash in Barangay Lawaan early morning on Thursday.
Berlandino – a resident of Barangay Culajao – sustained serious wounds on the body.
She was pronounced “dead on arrival” at the Capiz Doctors Hospital, said traffic investigator Police Officer 2 Gamin Unarse.
According to the investigation, Berlandino was driving a motorcycle from Barangay Lonoy to Roxas City proper when she lost control of the vehicle.
She then crashed against an electrical post along the road.
“Tuman kadasig sang iya pagpadalagan, according to some witnesses, kag wala niya ma-control pag-abot sa kurbada sang karsada,” said Roxas City police chief Superintendent Dante Tayco.
Berlandino’s 18-year-old back rider Gregorio Maquiran was still recuperating at the Capiz Doctors Hospital.
He also sustained injuries on the different parts of the body./PN
