ILOILO City – A couple in Barangay Umingan, Alimodian, Iloilo was hacked to death in their house.
Mamerto Camral was 62 while his wife Emma was 63.
As of this writing, the Alimodian police still had no suspect.
The hacking happened around 8:22 p.m. on Oct. 11. The victims were having coffee, said Inspector Danilo Noca, municipal police chief.
Their 13-year-old grandson Renier discovered the crime after returning home from a prayer meeting.
“The victims were in the sala. They had multiple hack wounds. We could not yet conclude how many attackers were there,” said Noca.
He, however, said the crime appeared to have been planned.
Robbery seemed not the motive, added Noca.
Valuables in the house were untouched, he revealed./PN
