CSC Region 6 erecting field office building in Guimaras

ILOILO City – To make its services more accessible to locals and accommodate more clients, the Civil Service Commission Region 6 will put up a field office building in the island province of Guimaras.

The two-story Guimaras Field Office building will be built near the provincial capitol in Jordan town. It is estimated to cost P5 million, according to Regional Director Rodolfo Encajonado.

The provincial government donated the lot where the edifice will be built.

Encajonado hopes the infrastructure work starts this month so that the building gets finished and the field office becomes fully functional by the first quarter of 2019.

The CSC aims to make various services more easily accessible to Guimarasnons, including accommodating applications for professional and sub-professional Career Service Examination.

Currently the CSC-6 staffers in Guimaras temporarily hold office in the provincial capitol. Their limited office space constrains the number of clients they can accommodate.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Guimaras Field Office building was held on Oct. 3.

Present at the ceremony were Encajonado, CSC chairwoman Alicia dela Rosa-Bala, and Gov. Samuel Gumarin, among other local government officials./PN
