ILOILO City – An allegedly violent resident of Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao district had been stabbed to death.
The 57-year-old Gregorio Tabirao sustained wounds on the neck and body, a police report showed.
Police identified his three brother-in-laws as suspects – Dan, 47, Jessie, 53, and Jigger, all surnamed Kapaw-an and residents of the same village.
Officers arrested Dan and Jessie during a hot pursuit and brought them to the Mandurriao police station.
From what investigators have so far gathered, the three brothers were angry with Tabirao for maltreating his wife, their sister.
The alleged maltreatment caused the couple’s separation, investigators learned.
Tabirao was in his house at around 6 p.m. on Sunday when the suspects barged in and attacked him, police investigation showed.
The suspects fled after the incident on board a motorcycle but pursuing officers caught Dan and Jessie. Jigger remained at large as of this writing./PN
