MANILA – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has released a list of suggested retail prices (SRP) for Noche Buena items, two months ahead of the holiday season.
Trade undersecretary for Consumer Protection Group Ruth Castelo said that the list was released to ensure that consumers pay within the SRP range.
“This is a price guide para alam ng consumers kung magkano lang ang halaga ng binibili nila, and for the manufacturers kung magkano ang halaga ng ibebenta nila,” she explained.
Some of the items on the list are:
Mayonnaise (220 ml) – P83.35 (from P75.75 previously)
Keso de bola (300 grams) – P169 (from P149.60)
Pear-shaped ham (850 grams) – P205 (from P225)
Jamon de bola – P315 (from P345)
Spaghetti sauce – P74 (unchanged)
Elbow macaroni – P20 (unchanged)
Prices will depend on the brand, variant, and the weight of the product, but consumers may report any irregularities to the DTI.
“Piliin nila ‘yung mga brands na papasok sa kanilang budget ang presyo,” said Castelo.
“Kasi kunyari isang produkto, merong mga seven brands na nandun sa listahan natin, piliin nila don ‘yung presyo na pareho parin or yung mas mababa compared to last year’s price,” she added. (GMA News)
