BACOLOD City – A man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation inside a hospital in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
The 28-year-old Julie Ann Palaras was caught at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Barangay Lantad around 1:15 p.m. on Monday , a police report showed.
Palaras – a resident of Purok Kahilwayan, Barangay 2, Silay City – was nabbed after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P5,000, the report added.
Recovered from Palaras’ possession were the about 8 grams of suspected shabu contained in three sachets valued at around P60,000 and a cellphone, police said.
Detained in the lockup cell of the Silay City police station, Palaras faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
