BACOLOD City – The court ordered the arrest of a man in Barangay San Pablo, Manapla, Negros Occidental.
The 33-year-old Roel Barbas was charged with illegal possession of firearm, police said.
Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio of the Regional Trial Court Branch 40 in Silay City, Negros Occidental issued an arrest warrant against Barbas on Jan. 20, 2016.
Officers from the municipal police station nabbed Barbas at his residence in Hacienda Talaba-an around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the Manapla police station.
The court recommended a P170,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
