ILOILO City – A tricycle driver was mauled in Barangay Ticud, La Paz district.
Rodolfo Pinafiel sustained injuries on the head and body, a police report showed.
He suspected a fellow villager, 31-year-old Richard Jover, of stealing his P2,000.
Pinafiel barged into the house of Jover at around 10 p.m. Monday and confronted him. He then attempted to stab Jover, prompting the latter to beat him up.
The two later had an “amicable settlement” but the police report did not clearly state how exactly./PN
