LEON and Pavia dominated the secondary and elementary categories of the Iloilo 2nd Congressional District Sports Association Meet 2018 volleyball in Pavia, Iloilo on Saturday.
Led by team captain Krystl Lou Cagalitan Capilastique, Leon clinched the championship in secondary girls by dethroning Santa Barbara in two games.
After sweeping the eliminations, which thereby armed it with a twice-to-beat advantage, Leon suffered a five-set loss to Santa Barbara in Game 1 before bouncing back with a four-set triumph in the do-or-die Game 2.
Also part of the Leon squad were Jeah-M Pascua, Angelline Cabalo, Kyla Cabunoc, Angel Palacio, Marianne Calapaan, Hannah Cabrobias, Anne Lucille Ebido, Dea Jane Canaya, Epouses De Dieu, Villaret Frianna, Zas Calanuga, and Kleitz Louise Cain.
Meanwhile Pavia raked in the elementary titles after beating Santa Barbara in elementary boys and Leon in elementary girls.
Leon also clinched the secondary boys title by defeating Pavia in just one match. Leon boys swept the elimination round earlier.
Leon players included JM Calves, Ryan Mosquera, Keenan Capio, Franz Callocallo, Kyle Catanus, John Paul Calaor, Edrian Calves, Mar Vincent Cajara, John Mole Serue, Peter Jonh Sumayo, and JM Camagan.
