A SELF-CONFESSED alcoholic who has figured in several public brawls, actor Baron Geisler once promised that he’ll be “better.”
And he appears to be making good on his word, sharing that he has turned to religion in his bid to turn over a new leaf.
On Instagram this Saturday, he wrote: “I need the power of God’s Holy Spirit to sustain me in the path of righteousness.”
He then described himself as “touched by God to touch others” in his newest post – one of the many over the past few months that had him show off his renewed life.
This included joining fellowships with Maranatha Christian Fellowship, a “Bible-based, spirit-led congregation” in Cebu, and speaking about mental health awareness at various symposiums.
The turnaround was welcomed by his fans, who have been sharing their own experiences of changing their lifestyles with him and encouraging him in his new path in the comments.
In March, Geisler said that he was going to be checking himself into a rehabilitation center and that he’ll “taking it very seriously this time.”
He had stayed inside a rehab facility to get treatment for his alcohol dependency back in 2011.
His declaration came after he, earlier that month, was arrested last for threatening to kill his brother-in-law. (ABS-CBN News)
