BACOLOD City – An alleged member of the New People’s Army was arrested in Purok Cotton, Barangay Cabadiangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
The 32-year-old Ronald Lahay-Lahay was caught around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a police report showed.
A resident of Barangay Camindangan, Sipalay City, Lahay-Lahay faces charges for multiple frustrated murders, the report added.
Members of the Charlie Company of the Philippine Army’s 15th Infantry Battalion staged Lahay-Lahay’s apprehension on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Fernando Elumba of the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental issued on Oct. 9, 2012.
Lahay-Lahay was detained in the lockup cell of the Sipalay City police station.
The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
