BACOLOD City – A minor and resident of Purok 4 in Barangay Asia in Hinobaan town, Negros Occidental was killed around 2 p.m. Sunday while he was crossing the national highway.
Police identified the victim as Rean Lloyd Planas Cadungong, four years of age.
The victim sustained injuries and was immediately brought to Don Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital but was declared DOA (dead on arrival) by the attending physician.
The suspected motorist was identified as Ronnie Yambot Galanza, 32, of Candelaria Street in San Enrique, Negros Occidental.
He was driving his Nissan Utility double cub pick-up from San Enrique on his way to Purok 4 in Barangay Asia, Hinobaan when the victim crossed the highway.
The suspect voluntarily surrender to the Hinobaan police./PN
