BACOLOD City – An ice cream vendor was arrested in a drug bust around 5:53 p.m. on Sunday at Bangga Eco-Center, Barangay 2 in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Police Chief Inspector Romeo Vargas, La Carlota City police head, identified the suspect as Emilio Dalida Chavez, 39, “Alias Rorong” of Barangay Batuan, La Carlota City.
He’s considered a high-value target being a former drug surrenderee – previously convicted for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Vargas said.
Seized from the suspect were one heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected “shabu” and P300 in buy-bust money.
He was detained at La Carlota City custodial facility and charged anew for violation of RA 9165./PN
