BACOLOD City – The city government’s Office of the Building Official (OBO) has revoked the building permit of a prominent businessman.
OBO head Isidro Sun Jr. declined to identify the businessman but said a complaint was filed against the entrepreneur.
There was a discrepancy in the building plan submitted to the OBO for a building permit and the plan that was followed in the actual construction of the structure, added Sun.
The OBO gave the businessmen almost a month’s notice before revoking the building permit for violation of Section 306 of the Building Code of the Philippines, said Sun.
The building owner was also complained of encroaching on an adjacent lot, he added.
Sun said the businessman has 15 days to make an appeal at the Department of Public Works and Highways./PN
