BACOLOD City – A person named in the drug watch list of the Philippine National Police was shot dead by an unidentified suspect in front of Diaz College, along Nono Limbaga Drive, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental around 7:20 a.m. Wednesday.
Police identified the victim as Osman Morales Zerna, 40, resident.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his head and body.
The victim, an alleged drug personality, has reportedly previously surrendered to the police under “Oplan Tokhang.”
An initial investigation reveals that Zerna was on his way home when he was shot dead by the unidentified suspect.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Tanjay Urgent Care Clinic but he was declared DOA (dead-on-arrival) by attending physician Dr. Elizabeth Sedillo.
Police are still investigating the incident and looking into possible motives./PN
