SHE confirmed that the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show will be her last time walking the runway earlier in the day.
And after holding the title of the longest standing Angel after 18 years, Adriana Lima broke down in tears during her final walk on Thursday.
The 37-year-old was dressed in a baby blue set with large feathered wings as she held her hands on her chest, thanked the crowd and the brand while closing the show.
Adriana appeared to be in tears as she placed her hands over her heart as the crowd gave her a standing ovation.
The beauty completed her iconic look with a pair of feathered heels that perfectly matched her statement wings.
Another look saw Adriana command attention in a black lace leotard with a very low v-neck design.
Her ensemble was accessorized with a diamond necklace and a pair of black boots with galaxy stars throughout.
Her daring outfit was complimented with a large moon shaped ‘wing’ that was decked out in shimmery diamantes.
Adriana’s brunette locks were styled into loose waves and appeared darker than usual for her final Victoria’s Secret catwalk appearance.
Her glam brought out her enviable high cheekbones and deep-set blue eyes with a sweep of blush and a nude lip.
And despite her tearful runway appearance, she appeared to be in high spirits when she joined fellow Angels: Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes, Elsa Hosk, Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel for the finale.
Adriana’s final appearance comes after fellow model Georgia Fowler let it slip that Thursday would be her last time walking in the lingerie show after 19 years.
And soon after that, the mom-of-two confirmed the news on Instagram with a sweet montage of some of her past appearances.
The 37-year-old model who’s been an Angel since 2000 wrote: ‘Dear Victoria, Thank you for showing me the world, sharing your secrets, and most importantly not just giving me wings but teaching me to fly. And all the love to the best fans in the world. Love, Adriana.’
According to a tweet by InStyle magazine, a montage package dedicated to the brunette was played during the show in New York City, which described her as ‘the greatest angel of all time.’
The Brazilian-born beauty has working with the lingerie giant since 1999 with her debut at their annual runway show at the age of 18.
In 2000, Adriana became an Angel; she has opened the 2003, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012 shows for Victoria’s Secret. (Daily Mail)
