ILOILO City – Nelson Celeste was accused of indiscriminately discharging his gun.
Officers arrested the 42-year-old resident of Barangay Mina East (Poblacion), Mina for illegal possession of a firearm, a police report showed.
A 21-year-old local, Razel Claro, called the police complaining that Celeste fired shots in Barangay Tolarucan, Mina at around 10 p.m. on Saturday.
Responding officers caught the drunken Celeste in possession of a .45 pistol loaded with three bullets. He failed to present pertinent documents proving his legal ownership of the weapon.
Celeste was detained at the Mina police station.
He faces charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
