ROXAS City – Rudolf Anthony Aurelio graduated last week from a community-based drug rehabilitation program organized by the local police in Ivisan, Capiz.
On Monday police arrested the 31-year-old resident of Barangay Agustin Navarra, Ivisan in a buy-bust operation.
Six plastic packs of suspected shabu, a P500 marked money, a cellphone, and a blue motorcycle (plate no. FL-5251) were seized from Aurelio.
His arrest elevated the status of the suspect to “high-value target” from “street-level target” in the police’s campaign against illegal drugs, said Senior Inspector Rene Hare, Ivisan police chief.
“Indi guarantee nga kon naka-graduate ka sa community-based rehabilitation program, indi ka na pagdakpon kon ma-monitor ka nga nagbalik sa pagdusô sang ilegal nga droga,” Hare told Panay News.
Joint operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office and the Ivisan police station staged the buy-bust.
Aurelio was detained at the Ivisan police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against him./PN
