SJI, Living Stones, La Salle, UNO-R claim NOPSSCEA beach volley titles

JOHN’S Institute, Living Stones International School, University of St. La Salle, and University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos won crowns in the 2018 NOPSSCEA beach volleyball on Sunday at the USLS Beach Volleyball Court in Bacolod City.

SJI, composed of Lorien Gamboa, Bea Gapusan and Julianne Javelosa, captured the secondary girls title after defeating Living Stones, which was led by Fairlly Pretta, Love Joy Mejorada and Kristin Ciollye Umba.

Bacolod Tay Tung High School, bannered by new pair Beatrice Decena and Nicolei Galvan, failed to defend its crown and settled for fourth place after losing to UNO-R in the battle for third place.

In secondary boys, Living Stones’ trio Laurence Javier, James Luis Japitana and Ralph Savellano cornered the championship.

La Salle, led by Herold Parcia and Deanne Neil Depedro, captured the tertiary men’s trophy after defeating Colegio San Agustin in the championship round.

Colegio de Santa Ana de Victorias, on the other hand, bagged the bronze. The team was led by the pair of John Amion and Joshua Roque Ro.

In tertiary women’s UNO-R captured the championship by beating Riverside College./PN
