BACOLOD City – Rene Boy Andana Cordero had gone missing for 17 days.
On Monday his lifeless body was found floating in the Sicaba River in Barangay Sicaba, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Chief Inspector Rocky Desear, Cadiz police head, identified Cordero as a 23-year-old laborer living in Hacienda Mayo, Barangay Sicaba.
The remains were taken to mortuary in Cadiz.
One Didit Palmes who was fishing at the river found the body at around 1 p.m. Monday, police said.
Investigators were still trying to determine how Cordero ended up dead in the river.
