ILOILO City – Twenty-eight people were hurt in a vehicular crash in Barangay Atabayan, Tigbauan, Iloilo.
A passenger jeepney and a minivan collided at around 6:25 p.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
At the time the Miagao-Iloilo City jeepney was headed to this city while the Kia Carnival was running the opposite direction.
Nine passengers of the Kia Carnival including driver Joven Terco were taken to the Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital in Molo district.
Meanwhile 19 passengers of the passenger jeepney including driver Lito Benedicto, a resident of Arevalo district, were taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro.
They were treated for minor injuries, stated the police report./PN
