Seven sachets of suspected shabu were seized from the 34-year-old Joseph Tan of Barangay Banica, Roxas City.

ROXAS City – Seven plastic packs of suspected shabu were seized from a resident of Barangay Banica in a buy-bust operation.

The 34-year-old Joseph Tan was a “newly identified street-level target” in the antidrug campaign, said Superintendent Dante Tayco, city police chief.

Police placed Tan under surveillance for weeks prior to his arrest.

Ang iya nga pangalan nag-surface based sa information nga nakuha naton sa mga nagkaladakpan sang naliligad nga mga buy-busts,” Tayco told Panay News.

Officers from the Roxas City police station staged the buy-bust at around 11 p.m. on Nov. 22 in Barangay 8.

The suspected shabu seized from Tan weighed around 6 grams with an estimated street market value of P60,000, said Tayco.

A P1,000 marked money and a motorcycle allegedly used in peddling illegal drugs were further seized from the suspect.

Tan was detained in the Roxas City police station lockup facility.
