BACOLOD City – A drug suspected, who was the target of a police operation on Monday evening, was able to elude arrest in Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2, here – but his companion was apprehended.
Ferlito Panaligan Sayon, resident, managed to evade arrest, according to Senior Inspector Leo Gestopa, Police Station 2 chief.
Arrested instead was Ernie Oro Olido, 28, of Purok Lampirong, also of the barangay.
Police seized from Olido three sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P140,000.
Olido has been detained at the Police Station 2 lockup facility. He faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Meanwhile, Sayon has been charged in absentia with the same offense./PN
