THE HIGHLY anticipated runway debut of Filipina-American model Kelsey Merritt at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018 (VSFS) has finally aired!
Kelsey attended a viewing party for the 23rd edition of the annual lingerie and sleepwear fashion show on Sunday, Dec. 2, at Spring Studios in New York City.
The Ateneo De Manila University graduate looked sizzling hot in her red spaghetti strap dress paired with red stilettos at the event’s pink carpet.
A total of 60 models walked the runway of VSFW 2018 last Nov. 8, at Pier 94 in New York City.
She was the fourth model to walk the runway for the PINK segment of the fashion show following Grace Elizabeth, Josie Canseco, and Maia Cotton.
The Pinay model hyped up the crowd and blew kisses left and right while wearing a pair of metallic hotpants and cropped hoodie on the runway.
American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha performed her song “I’m A Mess” while the models slayed the runway.
In an interview with Fashionista.com after the fashion show, Kelsey shared what motivated her to pursue her dream of walking for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
She said, “Growing up, I’ve been watching this show, and it always made me feel like I was beautiful, too.”
“I would watch these girls and I felt empowered. One day, I always told myself, I would love to be one of them – not just a model, but as a woman. To be part of this roster of girls, they’re so beautiful, and they’re so nice inside and out. You’re a part of something so big. What these girls made me feel, I can finally get to make other girls feel that way,” she added. (Pep.ph)
