CENTRAL Philippine University showed dominance in lawn tennis of the 2018 Iloilo PRISAA Meet when it ruled the secondary and elementary boys and girls categories at the CPU Tennis Court.
CPU’s Althea Rose Ramirez captured the gold medal in secondary girls singles by defeating Stephanie Crisostomo of Hua Siong College of Iloilo, while CPU’s tandem of Avril Suace and Rissa Cubos bagged the doubles crown.

CPU got two silvers in elementary boys, from the duo of John Benedict Santiago and Raphael Seballos, and Nikhel Nowlakha in singles. The bronze was courtesy of John Bolivar.
In elementary girls, CPU’s tandem of Joelle Anne Miano and Aleeva Suace captured the doubles crown, while Ma. Therese Biton and Skyler Labordo finished with silver and bronze in singles, behind gold medal winner Dolores Hofilena of Assumption Iloilo.
Moreover CPU got silver and bronze medals in elementary boys singles courtesy of Eric Labordo and Ed Nathan Fragante, respectively, and a gold medal in doubles from Esheikhel Carnate and Fritz Carmate.
In the tertiary level, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University ruled the men’s category while University of San Agustin captured the title on the distaff side./PN
