ILOILO City – In Barangay San Nicholas, Oton, Iloilo, a woman was arrested for illegal gambling.
Officers from the Oton municipal police station nabbed resident Leonita Oyong on Saturday.
Oyong was caught while she was collecting bets for the illegal game bookies from other residents, police said.
Recovered from her possession were bet money which amounted to P70 and gambling paraphernalia.
Oyong was taken to the municipal police station and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9287, which increases the penalties for illegal numbers games./PN
