ILOILO City – He was shot to death on Christmas Day.
The 44-year-old Akano Valiente died of gunshot wounds on the neck and stomach, a police report showed.
A resident of Barangay Jagnaya, Jamindan, Capiz, Valiente was walking to a store around 11 p.m. on Dec. 25 when a certain Ebong Artmada of Barangay Lapaz, Jamindan waylaid him, the report further stated.
Artmada then fired at Valiente twice, police investigation revealed.
It was not immediately clear what was the motive in the incident.
Artmada remains at large as of this writing./PN
