ILOILO City – Inside a jail facility was where a man landed after police served him an arrest warrant in relation to his domestic violence charge.
Resident Jeffrey Gallego was caught around 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 in Barangay Calangcang, Makato, Aklan for allegedly violating Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
Gallego, a laborer, was brought to the municipal police station of Makato where he was detained.
It was not immediately clear if a bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
