ILOILO Young Boomers FC captured the crown in the Futsal Association of Panay-2nd Bga. Marianing Cup U-16 boys Futsal Competition with a 10-4 win over Janiuay Defenders FC in the finals at the WVSU Pescar Gym.
Alex John Doctora and Axel Horst Andres completed a hat trick each, Khent Brian Valenzuela added two goals, while Adrian Diaz and Rolf Alminaza added a conversion each for Iloilo Young Boomers.
Janiuay got the early lead in the game with John Quint Garrido converting at the fourth minute but it was quickly tied by Iloilo Young Boomers with a hit by Doctora at the fifth minute.
Iloilo Young Boomers slowly pulled away from that with Alminaza, Valenzuela and Doctora firing a goal each and Andres having back-to-back conversions for a 6-1 advantage.
Janiuay answered back with two conversions from Sean Mirador to cut the deficit to 3-6 but Iloilo Young Boomers added up to the advantage on the third goal of the game of Doctora.
Janiuay had his last hurrah with Mirador completing his own hat trick at the 31st minute but back-to-back hits from Valenzuela and Andres at the 35th and 40th minute wrapped up the match for the Iloilo Young Boomers.
Valenzuela was later hailed as the Most Valuable Player, while Garrido of Janiuay Defenders claimed the Golden Boot trophy for finishing the tournament with 12 goals./PN
