DINGDONG Dantes has nothing but good words to say of his first time working with Vice Ganda for the fantasy-comedy film “Fantastica,” an official entry to the coveted Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this year.
On Instagram last Sunday, in the midst of the movie’s success, the actor penned a touching message for Vice saying how grateful he is for the opportunity to have worked with the one and only “Unkabogable Star.” He also shared a story the comedian told him while aboard their “Fantastica” float during the MMFF parade a few short days before Christmas.
“Tignan mo naman ang tadhana – ang dating kumakaway bilang manonood ay siya nang kumakaway mula sa float na tinitingalaan ng marami,” said Dingdong of Vice, who is to be recalled the one who initiated for him to have the special role, alongside his other dream leading man, Richard Gutierrez.
With this, Dingdong thanks Vice, to whom he now looks up after seeing the comedian’s dedication and hard work for his craft in the short span of time they have worked together.
You give so much of yourself to that difficult quest of entertaining people who need it the most – at the place, and at the right time.
“Sabi nga ni PT Barnum, ‘The noblest art is that of making others happy.’ Hindi siya madali, but you always wing it. Congratulations, Fantastic ka!,” said Dingdong.
Meanwhile, Vice returned the gratitude in a lengthy comment he replied to the post. In it, the comedian confessed to still getting starstruck everytime he’s around with Dingdong.
“Maraming maraming salamat! Mula noon hanggang ngayon isa akong taga-hanga.
Tagumpay tayo,” said Vice.
Directed by Barry Gonzalez, “Fantastica” is still currently showing in cinemas nationwide. (Push)
