BACOLOD City – A man jumped off a motorboat traversing the sea in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
The 22-year-old Jimmy Patatag was later found dead, it added.
The motorboat was about 50 meters away from the port of Sipaway when Patatag jumped off it around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Patatag – resident of Fatima Village, Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City – was fished out of the water by personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard and the city’s rescue team.
Police officers were still determining what triggered Patatag to jump off the boat./PN
