ILOILO City – Police arrested a man in Barangay Lico-an, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo over illegal gambling.
The 56-year-old Renato Mosqueda – resident of Barangay Palayay, Anilao, Iloilo – was nabbed around 2 p.m. on Thursday, a police report showed.
Recovered from his possession were P356 gambling money and a bundle of cotejos, the report added.
According to the cops, Mosqueda violated Republic Act 9287, which increases penalties for illegal numbers games, amending certain provisions of Presidential Decree No. 1602.
The police also impounded Mosqueda’s motorcycle.
He was detained in the lockup facility of the Barotac Nuevo police station./PN
