Bago City local yields ‘shabu’ worth P15T

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu valued at around P15,000 was recovered from a man in Purok Sunflower, Barangay Binubuhan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

The suspected illegal drugs contained in seven plastic sachets weighing about 1 gram were confiscated from the 40-year-old resident Ian Agustin, a newly identified drug suspect, police said.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the sting operation around 10 a.m. on Jan. 10.

Agustin was nabbed after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P200, police said.

When frisked, six more sachets of suspected drugs were recovered from the suspect.

Drug paraphernalia, a cellphone and P270 cash were also seized from him.

Agustin was detained in the lockup facility of the Bago City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
