BACOLOD City – About 15.8 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P189,000 were recovered in an antidrug operation at the old Ceres terminal in Barangay Villamonte.
The suspected illegal drugs were confiscated from the 41-year-old Pedro Gumban of Barangay 2, Silay City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Anti-narcotics personnel from Police Station 4 also arrested the 18-year-old Joy Pelino of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Gumban was listed as a “high-value” drug target in the police station of Silay City.
He and Pelino were caught after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P500 along Lopez Jaena Street in this capital city on Sunday.
Aside from the suspected shabu, P4,700 cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions was recovered from the suspects.
Gumban and Pelino were detained in the Police Station 4 lockup facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
